John Buscarino, CEO of Buscarino Guitars, has built high-quality custom guitars for twenty-five years. He has also been a working musician for much of this time so he understands the need for great sounding, durable equipment.
John is unique among today's guitar builders in that he apprenticed with not one but two master luthiers. John first studied with Augustine LoPrinzi, from whom John learned the finer points of building classical guitars. |

John later worked with famed Archtop builder Robert Benedetto, spending years perfecting the woodworking skills that today make him a master luthier in his own right.
The resulting knowledge has helped John to perfect his craft, allowing him to tailor his designs to the need of the discerning customer. As such, Buscarino Guitars has quietly established a reputation for stunning build quality and a sound that must be heard to be believed. John’s meticulous attention to detail and passion for his craft make him one of today’s premier guitar builders. Whether you play jazz, rock, classical, Bluegrass or country on them, Buscarino guitars play “like butter”!
John’s wood inventory is truly amazing. Every piece of wood that goes into a Buscarino guitar is aged at least for four years in a climate controlled environment. Some of John’s wood collection has been waiting patiently to become guitars for over twenty years!
With all of this as background information it is easy to understand why John might want to produce a speaker that delivers the nuances of sound that his high-end guitars can deliver.

Here are John’s own words on the subject:
“The Chameleon Project has been a real journey. We went through years of design revision, constantly evaluating and discarding inferior components and cabinet designs. Each prototype has been thoroughly tested, and in some cases DESTRUCTIVELY tested!
Whenever we could choose quality over cost we have chosen QUALITY. We chose a premium speaker, and a premium tweeter. We invested in our own crossover and speaker protection circuitry. We invested in high-quality enclosure construction with heavy-duty EVERYTHING. We did not want to build “just another speaker cabinet” but to improve upon the original design and to fill a void in the market. It’s the best speaker we could make. Nothing less will do if you want your audience to hear what YOU hear in your finest guitars."
